18 Months!

Liam was 18 months on July 27th. Here were his stats...

• 23 lbs (10th percentile, highest yet!)
• 31 Inches (10th percentile)
• Head circumfrence (75th percentile, that kid's got some brains!)

Liam is crazy these days...so much energy and SO much fun!! Dan and I laugh constantly at him. Some of his favorite things are anything to do with cars especially riding in his cozy coupe, reading books, figuring out how everything works, playing outside and in the pool, picking mom's flowers, eating popsicles, going up and down the stairs like a big boy, playing hide-and-seek, hitting balls with his bat, and pretending to drive the van. ;)






He's also had a total word explosion over the last few weeks. He will repeat or try to repeat anything you say to him. If you listened in on our household chatter some day, you'd probably hear me saying a lot of 'Liam, can you say [insert word here]?' Sometimes he can totally say what I've asked him to say...sometimes, not so much...but he sure tries!

He's started saying some 2 and 3 word phrases as well. Some of his favorite words and phrases are...

• All the animals and their sounds....bear/roar, dog/bow wow, cat/meow, lion/roar, monkey/ooo ahhh, etc...
• Thank you
• Hi and Bye Bye
• Where's daddy or mama?
• Hi Sydney
• Car - his absolute FAVORITE word
• Rock - he's obsessed with rocks, he loves finding and playing with rocks, we're trying to teach him that 'we don't throw rocks'
• Ball
• Buppa (grandpa) and Grama

Just in the last few days, Liam has gotten into what I call 'an interesting phase'. He's started saying the word 'no' and LOVES saying it. He's also started throwing everything. It's hard to teach a kid they can throw a ball...but nothing else...like the remote, or rocks, or food, or cars, or blocks, what have you.  As Dan says every morning...let the games begin!  And we're excited to see what lies ahead.
